A shortage of “move-in ready” homes and bidding wars over houses in good condition are leaving potential buyers scrambling to find a home to buy. Housing inventories have sunk , leaving home shoppers with fewer options. Bidding wars are back, and some buyers are even trying to bid on homes before seeing them.
I think there is a actually a change the lack of inventory will turn off some potential buyers.
While buyers are suddenly feeling a sense of urgency, sellers are feeling they can wait. Investors are winning multiple offer scenarios on distressed homes because they are paying cash, beating out financed buyers. New construction has yet to start building again, and many home owners are taking a “wait-and-see-approach” before they list their homes. That’s left many buyers scrambling to find a property here in our Denver/Boulder real estate market.
Now more than ever buyers need an agent who has systems and relationships set up to be notified of new listings immediately. They also need an agent who has a team so they can out on showings right away. Not to toot my own horn but I have a tremendous team and awesome tech tools to provide this for my buyer clients. If I can be of help to you or someone you know looking to buy a home and need help navigating our market, let me know! 303-669-2744 x5 or email michael@taylorrealtygroup.net
