I’m a little different than most realtors. I take a consultative approach to ensure we meet your specific needs. We will start with a buyer consultation. At this meeting I’ll ask you some questions, explain the home buying process, and make sure I understand all of your specific needs in your new home. The steps below will give you an outline of the home buying process going forward.
Step 1 – Pre-qualify with a lender
The only sure way to know “how much house you can afford” is through prequalification. It is a simple but important step, and gives you a clear sense of the direction you should be headed. It also helps you determine a comfortable price range, and your offer will be much more desirable to the seller with a pre-qualification letter. I can pre-qualify you at our consultation or on the phone prior. This is the most important step!
Step 2 – Decide on neighborhood, go look at homes, pick one, and make an offer!
Once we determine what area is best for you, I will then send you listings to browse through and you can decide which ones to look at. I will set up the showings for us. Take notes, and don’t be surprised if we find it on the first day! My consultation process is designed to get you exactly what you need in a quick and efficient manner.
Step 3 – Offer acceptance (title work, inspection, appraisal, finalize loan)
This is where everything kicks into high gear and you have the benefit of my knowledge and experience to guide you. Details include title work, home owner’s insurance, inspection, appraisal, and finalizing your loan. My transaction coordinator and I will be there every step of the way to make sure everything is in your best interests.
Step 4 –Closing and get the keys!
At closing, you and the sellers will sign all the documents and you get the keys to your new home. I attend every closing so rest assured I will be there to answer any of your questions and ensure the process goes smoothly.
